Nigerian music executive Soso Soberekon has addressed the controversy that followed his wedding, with the absence of Davido emerging as a major subject of discussion across social media.
The music promoter recently exchanged vows with his lover, Princess Ebiere, during a lavish wedding ceremony held in Warri, Delta State, over the weekend.

Davido’s absence sparks online discussion
Following the wedding ceremony, Davido’s failure to attend became a major talking point online, with social media users sharing different opinions about the singer’s absence.
Media personality Ossai Ovie Success and former reality TV star DeeOne were among those who openly criticised Davido for neither attending the wedding nor sharing a social media post to celebrate his longtime associate.
With the conversation gaining momentum across various social media platforms, attention eventually turned to Soso Soberekon, as many people waited to hear his thoughts on the issue.
Soso Soberekon addresses the controversy
Soso eventually broke his silence in a social media post where he expressed appreciation to everyone who joined him and his wife in celebrating their special occasion, while also advising people to pay no attention to negativity.
The music promoter said the wedding turned out exactly as they had hoped, describing the occasion as one filled with love, joy, and lasting memories.
“My heart is overflowing with gratitude,” he wrote.
However, Soso’s message also appeared to address those speaking on his behalf amid the controversy. He firmly stated that no one had the authority to speak for him or claim to represent his position.
“Please ignore every negativity as we embrace love here. Finally, let me say this clearly: No one speaks for me. I speak for myself.”
