The management team of Nollywood actress and filmmaker Faithia Balogun, widely known as Faithia Williams, has dismissed viral claims about her alleged death after the rumour gained traction on TikTok.
In an official statement issued by The Hype Agency and shared on the Instagram page of journalist, filmmaker, and media entrepreneur Samuel Olatunji, popularly known as Bigsam, on Sunday, July 12, 2026, the actress’s representatives reassured the public that Faithia is alive, healthy, and in excellent spirits.
According to the statement, there is absolutely no truth to the speculation suggesting that the actress had passed away or was dealing with any health-related issue.
The misinformation is believed to have first surfaced on TikTok before quickly spreading across other social media platforms, sparking anxiety among fans, colleagues, and other well-wishers.
Her management called on members of the public to refrain from sharing the false claims, noting that the circulation of such unverified information only creates unnecessary fear and emotional distress. “Faithia Balogun is alive, hale, healthy, and in good spirits.
There is no truth whatsoever to the rumours of her death or any illness,” the statement clarified.
The agency further urged media organisations and digital platforms to verify information thoroughly before publishing or amplifying reports involving public figures.
Legal action being pursued
In addition to publicly debunking the rumour, Faithia’s management disclosed that legal proceedings have already been initiated against those responsible for originating and spreading the false reports.
The statement described the publication as defamatory and made it clear that efforts are underway to identify and hold those behind it accountable.
The management also extended appreciation to everyone who reached out in genuine concern, thanking fans and supporters for the overwhelming display of love and goodwill shown towards the actress during the incident.
