Reacting to the funeral of Alexx Ekubo, which took place in his hometown of Arochukwu on June 18, a woman has voiced her disapproval of certain aspects of the ceremony.
The woman, identified on X as @kunnujic, revealed that she followed a livestream of the funeral on TikTok and noticed that meals were prepared and served to attendees, while some guests were also seen dancing during the event.
Lady shares her views on Alexx Ekubo’s funeral
In her reaction, @kunnujic expressed sadness over what she perceived as the ease with which people move forward after someone’s death, suggesting that Alexx would eventually be forgotten by many.
She argued that Alexx’s relatives should not have permitted the preparation of food or the presence of a live band at the burial ceremony, maintaining that both were unnecessary given the circumstances surrounding his passing.
She further encouraged people to make the most of their lives, noting that individuals who may be unwilling to offer help during difficult times are often willing to travel great distances to attend funerals.
Her tweet posted on June 18 read:
“They cooked at Alex’s funeral. I watched the livestream on TikTok; people were eating while some danced.
“It’s easy to see how people quickly move on and will soon forget him. If you ask me, the cooking and live band weren’t necessary because he died too early.
“Please enjoy your life, as people can’t cross a gutter to assist you but will cross oceans just to bury you.”
