England and Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, has revealed who he is backing to win the 2026 UEFA Champions League final between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
The highly anticipated final clash between the two European giants is set to take place on Saturday, May 30, in Budapest.
Recall that Bayern Munich were narrowly defeated by PSG 6-5 on aggregate, while Arsenal secured a slim 2-1 aggregate victory over Atlético Madrid to book their place in the final.
The French giants held Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena, thanks to an early goal from Ousmane Dembélé, before Harry Kane scored a late consolation goal for the hosts.
Meanwhile, after earning a 1-1 draw away at Atlético Madrid, the Gunners sealed their spot in the Champions League final with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium.
The former Tottenham Hotspur F.C. forward acknowledged that both Arsenal and PSG possess the quality needed to triumph in the Champions League final.
He noted that PSG could prove to be a tougher challenge for Arsenal, considering their status as the tournament’s defending champions.
He said:
“It’s two different styles playing against each other but I think it will be a really even test. Both teams have good qualities and can be dangerous.
Paris Saint-Germain are obviously reigning champions, they’re a difficult team to beat but I think Arsenal have shown this year that they can be one of the best teams in Europe, for sure. It will be an interesting final, we’ll have to see what happens.”
Ultimately, Harry Kane has tipped PSG as the slight favourites to edge Arsenal and potentially secure back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles.
He added: “Two totally different teams in the way they play but two very strong teams. It will be an interesting final, for sure. “I think PSG being the reigning champions obviously hold the right to maybe be slight favourites. But overall I think it will be two top teams going at it, it’ll be an even match.”
