Popular Abuja-based TikTok creator Monique Pearls, widely known for her motherhood and nanny-related content, has reportedly passed away at the age of 30.
The content creator, whose real name was Monica Okafor Owuunaka, gained attention on social media through emotional and relatable videos centred on family life, parenting and motherhood experiences.
She became especially popular for sharing moments involving her family and young Precious, a girl she reportedly brought from the village and who later became a familiar face in many of her TikTok videos.
Monique built a loyal following with content that resonated with many Nigerians, as she openly documented the joys, struggles and emotional realities of raising a family.
Her death was confirmed by family members on Thursday, May 28 2026. However, the exact cause of her death has not been made public.
The late TikTok creator is survived by her husband and her young son, Lael.
News of her passing has triggered an outpouring of grief and tributes on social media, with many followers mourning the loss of a creator they admired for her heartfelt storytelling and family-focused content.
Sharing her obituary poster on her page, the family wrote:
