The match went on to extra time after a goalless draw and Nwabali came up with crucial saves against Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush.

Due to his brilliant saves, Nigeria won the game and Nwabali was later awarded the man of the match.

In a recent development,  a video surfaced showing Stanley Nwabali’s heartfelt reaction after saving the penalty kicks of the two EPL stars.

The goalie was gripped by emotions which caused him to shed tears even before the last kick by Ademola Lookman which sealed the win.

In a post-match interview, Stanley Nwabali also disclosed that he was actually targeting Salah and Marmoush’s penalties as he watches them in the EPL and fortunately for him, he was able to stop their shots.

He added that the saves will surely be a big boost for him.
