A lady identified as queen.boujee on Instagram has recently taken to social media to express her emotions following the sad passing of Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo.
The lady, whose real name is Cynthia Nwajiaku, shared an emotional farewell message on her Instagram page, reacting sorrowfully to the death of the Nigerian actor.
Recall that Alexx Ekubo was confirmed dead by multiple reports on May 12, 2026, a development that cast a gloomy mood across the Nigerian entertainment industry. It was later revealed that the actor died from complications related to advanced metastatic kidney cancer, contrary to earlier rumours suggesting it was liver cancer.
In a lengthy and heartbreaking post shared on May 17, the lady, who appeared to have been a close friend of Alexx Ekubo, reflected on the cherished memories they shared. She disclosed that they had several deep conversations about future plans, dreams that can no longer be fulfilled due to his sudden passing.
She wrote: “Nwanne… 💔What do you want me to say? How do I even begin to say goodbye to someone who was more than a friend… someone who became family to me. You called me your Adanne, your big sis, and today my heart is shattered into pieces trying to accept a reality I have been denying since I heard the news.
This was not what we discussed. This was not the future we talked about for hours and hours. You told me you would be there at my children’s weddings. We laughed about it, prayed about life, spoke about dreams, faith, family, and the future. How can all those conversations suddenly become memories? How can someone who felt so present become a painful silence?
“I keep replaying our prayers together, the long talks, your voice, your laughter, your wisdom, your love. You were genuinely one of the rarest souls God blessed me with. A brother by heart, by bond, by everything that truly matters.
You did not prepare me for this at all, Nwanne. You left too soon. And words fail me because my heart still refuses to believe I am writing this.
I love you deeply, but God loves you more.May your beautiful soul continue to rest peacefully until we meet again.
Rest well, my Nwanne. 🤍🕊️.”
