A Nigerian man who installed a 15kVA solar inverter has shared his experience one month after going off-grid, advising Nigerians still dependent on DisCos to consider alternative power solutions if they can afford it.
He posted a photo of the solar setup and explained how it has been serving his home since installation.
According to him, he lives in a full duplex, and the 15kVA solar inverter is powerful enough to run the entire house for a full day when fully charged.
He wrote:
“Today makes it one month since I officially went off-grid, and I have never regretted this decision.”
He added:
“As a Nigerian living in Enugu, Nigeria if you can afford this, please do.”
Responding to questions in the comment section about its performance, he explained:
“It’s 15kv can power my full duplex for one full day when fully charged.”
When asked about the total cost, he revealed:
“Everything 6m bro.”
The post sparked reactions online as many users discussed the cost and practicality of solar energy as an alternative to the national grid.
