Jody Solomons, the mother of the late South African footballer Jayden Adams’s son, has paid a heartfelt tribute to him on TikTok by sharing a touching video featuring their young child.
The heartfelt tribute was accompanied by a song that became closely associated with Adams in the weeks leading up to his death. Solomons shares a son, Jude, with the late footballer. The little boy was born in 2024.
As part of her emotional tribute, she uploaded a collection of photos showing the toddler, whose cheerful smile appeared to mirror that of his late father.
According to The South African, the soundtrack used in the video was “Sengithole Omunye” by Feza featuring Chulumanco M. The song.
The song’s lyrics which focus on heartbreak, healing, and moving forward, gained widespread attention after clips of Adams dancing to it with fellow Bafana Bafana star Oswin Appollis during the 2026 FIFA World Cup went viral online only weeks before his death.

Adams reportedly took his own life approximately one week ago, a tragedy that stunned the South African football community. His passing came not long after he helped Bafana Bafana secure qualification for the knockout stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Adams’s children and his relationship with Solomons
MSN reports that at the time of his death, Adams was in a relationship with Aqueelah Adendorf, who had been romantically linked to the footballer since 2021.
The pair share a five year old daughter, Allaia-Jayda. However, the circumstances surrounding Adams’s relationship with Solomons, including when it began and ended, have not been made clear.
In earlier TikTok videos, Solomons reflected on her experience of raising Jude as a single mother.
In one of the clips, she wrote: “Maybe I wasn’t made to be someone’s wife or girlfriend. But I know I was made to be someone’s mom.”
She also shared another emotional message that read: “Two worlds did collide, but I was left to do it alone.”
Earlier this week, Solomons uploaded another tribute that was dedicated solely to Adams.
During a memorial service held in Stellenbosch on Thursday, July 16, Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams said the national team would continue to honour Adams’s memory every time they stepped onto the pitch.
