Nigerian socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has come under heavy criticism online following comments he made during the burial of Davido’s close friend, Tiny, which took place overseas.
A viral video showed Davido visibly emotional as his friend Tiny was lowered into the grave during the funeral service.
After the burial, another clip circulated on social media showing Cubana Chiefpriest, who was among several notable figures present at the solemn event, seated in a luxury vehicle with Afrobeats star Davido in the backseat.
The main point of controversy from the video came when Cubana Chiefpriest casually remarked, saying, “Yeah men, we are outside cemetery chilling.”
Some of his colleagues and friends in the car were also seen joking and teasing him, shortly after his recent loss in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries.
Reports indicate that Tiny, Davido’s late friend, died as a result of a heart attack. Speaking on the tragic loss, the Nigerian singer expressed how painful it was to lose someone so close, adding that Tiny’s absence would be deeply felt.
Well, following Cubana Chiefpriest’s earlier statement at the funeral of Davido’s friend, the socialite has been criticised across social media in the country, as many users described the comment as insensitive and disrespectful to such a solemn event.
