A viral video showing Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe and her husband, filmmaker Kazim Adeoti, has sparked reactions across social media.
In the clip, Adeoti jokingly made a bold remark about marrying another wife if his latest movie project failed to achieve a set milestone on YouTube.
The video captured the couple in a lighthearted mood as they encouraged fans to watch Adeoti’s new film, Maryam released on his YouTube channel.
Mercy Aigbe, who appeared excited, appealed to her followers to support the project by streaming it, emphasising her husband’s commitment to his craft.
At some point in the video, Adeoti playfully issued a warning, stating that if the movie did not reach 500,000 views by Wednesday, he would take another wife. Although said jokingly, the comment quickly drew attention and triggered mixed reactions online.
Mercy Aigbe, both amused and slightly concerned, urged fans to show support for the film.
“You know my husband is a filmmaker. He has a YouTube channel called Adekas Premium TV… and he has a very interesting film titled Maryam. I’m there, I’m there. Please, rush to YouTube and watch it.”
Adeoti then added with a playful but firm tone:
“If by Wednesday we don’t clock 500,000 views, I will marry another woman. Period.”
