Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has spoken out after she was seemingly ignored by her colleague, Funke Akindele, during the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s movie.
The event, hosted by Iyabo Ojo, attracted several stars and industry colleagues.
During the gathering, Aigbe and Akindele were seated at the same table, but there was no interaction between them.
Even when Funke Akindele later went on stage, both actresses avoided acknowledging each other, looking in different directions.
Following the incident, Mercy Aigbe took to her Instagram page to share a reflective video centered on personal growth.
The actress, who lost properties in a fire incident last year, spoke about how not everyone will understand one’s journey or transformation.
In the video, she explained that growth often involves stepping into a new phase of life, one that others may find difficult to accept.
According to her, the real challenge is not the change itself, but getting people to embrace that change.
She added that individuals should not feel discouraged if others fail to understand them, but instead remain focused on becoming the person they desire to be.
