Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has reacted following the controversy involving her colleagues, Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, which unfolded during the premiere of her new film, The Return of Arinzo.
The star-studded event, held on Sunday night, attracted celebrities, fans, and key players in the film industry.
However, the tension between the two actresses became a major talking point shortly after clips from the event surfaced online.
Rather than dwell on the drama, Iyabo Ojo chose to take a different approach by focusing on appreciation and celebration.
She shared a heartfelt message thanking everyone who played a role in making the premiere a success.
In her note, she expressed gratitude to the organisers, co-executive producers, cast and crew, PR and media teams, stylists, hosts, vendors, and event planners who contributed to the event.
She also acknowledged the support of guests, colleagues, friends, family, content creators, comedians, and musicians who showed up, bought tickets, created content, and celebrated with her.
“I want to start by giving thanks to God Almighty for making the premiere launch of The Return of Arinzo a beautiful success,” she wrote.
“I won’t mention names as this write-up won’t be enough, but know that I appreciate every single one of you. I’m standing on all existing protocols and saying thank you.”
Iyabo went on to announce that The Return of Arinzo will be released in cinemas across the country on April 3, 2026, while encouraging fans to help in the movie promotion.
