The family of Paul Adefarasin, founder of House on the Rock, has been thrown into mourning following a painful loss.
The sad news was shared by his wife, Ifeanyi Adefarasin, who took to social media to announce the passing of her elder sister, Jane.
In her emotional tribute, Pastor Ifeanyi revealed that her sister died just weeks before what would have been her 60th birthday.
She described the loss as deeply heartbreaking, noting that Jane had fought tirelessly to stay alive, with the family also standing by her in faith and hope throughout the difficult period.
Speaking about their bond, she fondly referred to her sister as her “fiery Ada,” a term used for the first daughter in the family.
She went on to portray Jane as a woman full of strength, love, and kindness, adding that she was a constant source of encouragement to those around her.
According to her, Jane embodied grace, generosity, and selflessness in all she did.
Although she did not go into full details, Pastor Ifeanyi hinted that her sister may have battled an illness before her passing, emphasizing that both Jane and her loved ones did everything possible in the fight to keep her alive.
Despite their efforts, she noted that heaven ultimately gained her.
Expressing gratitude for her sister’s life, she acknowledged the many sacrifices Jane made for the family, saying they came naturally to her.
She also admitted that the loss has left a deep void, adding that she would miss her sister beyond what words can convey.
In her words:
“Jane… our sister…our fierce ‘Ada’.
This one is hard.
You are the firstborn of our mother and will always be, the one who held us all together, the one who showed up every time, for everyone. A true cheerleader, full of strength, full of love.
Jane… so kind… so gracious and generous. So selfless, always putting everyone first. And yet so lively — truly the life of the party.
This your 60th year with just a month to your birthday.
You fought… and we fought with you. We did all we could, being by your side, standing in faith, holding on to hope. And heaven gained you.
And while I know you are at peace, our hearts feel the weight of your absence.
Thank you for how you loved us.
Thank you for how you carried us.
Thank you for being such a constant in our lives at great sacrifice, yet something that comes so naturally to you.
Jane, we will miss you… more than words can say.
Rest well. 🕊️”
