A lady who attended Hilda Baci’s record-breaking event shared what she saw that made her leave immediately.
Popular Nigerian chef Hilda Baci had announced online that she would be attempting to make history by cooking the largest pot of jollof rice ever.
The event took place on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos State.
In a TikTok post by @officialdabel, the lady shared why she returned home after getting to the venue.
She said she decided to go back home after seeing the unusual queue, despite her plans for the event.
The lady said:
“Going home because no jollof rice was worth the line. But I am very proud of what Hilda is about to do though.”
“I wasn’t going there for just the rice to be honest I actually wanted to create a couple content and to be able to say proudly that I was at a world record breaking event but honestly this line was just waaayyy too long and wasn’t even moving so I gave up.”
