Nimbus Pronos, a cat that has gained traction online due to its correct football predictions is at it again as the AFCON tournament gets more intense.
The cat had initially correctly predicted all Round of 16 matches which increased people’s trust in it.
As for the Quarter-final matches, only one matches didn’t go as it predicted. It had picked Ivory Coast to beat Egypt but the reverse was the case. Egypt fought hard beat Ivory Coast by 3 goals to 2.
In a recent development, the cat has presented predictions ahead of the semi-final clashes set to take place on Wednesday, 14th January 2026.
Nigeria will take on the host, Morocco by 9pm while Senegal will battle it out with Egypt by 6pm.
The cat however picked Morocco to beat Nigeria and Senegal to beat Egypt.
The prediction has elicited massive reactions from netizens some of which expressed doubt while others reaffirm the cat’s position.
