A viral TikTok video has sparked outrage and anxiety online after a young lady challenged terrorists to come to Ikeja, Lagos if they were truly powerful.
The lady commented on a video posted by a group of armed men, suspected to be terrorists, saying she dares them to come and attack the capital city of Lagos.
Hours after her comment, the TikTok account, which posted the video, replied, saying they are ready to take up the challenge.
Commenting on the video, the lady said, “If dem born una well, just come Maryland, Ikeja or Agege for Lagos.”
The handler of the TikTok replied firmly, saying, “Ok.”
The incident comes amid a rising wave of terrorist attacks across several states in Nigeria, including reported killings, kidnappings, and village raids in parts of the Kebbi, Kwara, and Niger states.
Nigerians took to the comment section to appeal on the lady’s behalf, asking the terrorists not to listen to her. Many also condemn Nigerian security operatives for not taking down such an account.
