A tragedy has reportedly struck the medical circle connected to King Charles and Queen Camilla following the death of a doctor who had links to healthcare provided to members of the royal family.
Dr Hannah Cain, also known as Dr Hannah Terry, was reportedly found dead at her home in Dersingham, Norfolk, on Sunday, October 4.
Her home was located near the King’s Sandringham Estate.
Her husband, Mark Cain, has since been charged with her murder and remanded in custody, according to reports.
Doctor Had Links to Sandringham Medical Care
Hannah worked at Grimston Medical Centre in King’s Lynn, a practice serving the local community and reportedly connected to medical services available to the royal family when they are staying at Sandringham.
The mother of three had worked as a general practitioner for several years before leaving her former practice to devote more time to her young family.
She later remained active in the healthcare sector, working at Grimston Medical Centre and running a private aesthetics business.
King Charles and Queen Camilla Informed
The death of the doctor reportedly came to the attention of the royal household, with King Charles and Queen Camilla said to have been informed about the tragedy.
Hannah’s death has reportedly left her colleagues shocked, with one doctor who had previously worked alongside her describing her as intelligent, pleasant and a lovely colleague.
The colleague also said they were struggling to comprehend the circumstances surrounding her death.
Husband Charged With Murder
Norfolk Police confirmed that Mark Cain had been charged with murder following Hannah’s death.
He was remanded in custody as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue.
A post-mortem examination has already been carried out, although authorities said the cause of Hannah’s death remains under investigation.
Police said the investigation is still at an early stage, with specialist officers providing support to Hannah’s family.
Medical Centre Temporarily Closed
Following the doctor’s death, Grimston Medical Centre was temporarily closed as the community came to terms with the tragedy.
Residents and patients also paid tribute to Hannah by leaving flowers in her memory.
The investigation into her death remains ongoing as authorities work to establish what happened.
