Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has rejected her reported inclusion in the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council.
Her name appeared on the campaign council’s list released on Thursday, September 17, 2026, where she was placed under the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate.
The list also featured several notable personalities from Nigeria’s entertainment industry, including veteran actor Jide Kosoko, actress Eniola Badmus and Fuji musician Pasuma.
However, Toyin has clarified that she was not part of the campaign council and does not intend to participate in any campaign committee.

Reacting to the development, the actress stated that her name should not be associated with the campaign council, stressing that she had already made her decision to stay away from politics.
“I’m not a member of any campaign council. I have said it recently, I am staying out of politics,” she wrote.
Toyin Abraham therefore urged members of the public to disregard her inclusion on the published list.
Her clarification came on the same day the APC released details of its Lagos campaign structure ahead of its scheduled inauguration.
According to the published list, Toke Benson-Awoyinka was named director of the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate, while Jide Kosoko was listed as co-director and Eniola Badmus as deputy director.
Other entertainment personalities were also included in the directorate.
The broader campaign council is scheduled to be inaugurated on Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
Toyin’s statement makes clear that, despite her name appearing on the published structure, she does not consider herself a member of the campaign council and says she intends to remain outside politics.
