The estranged daughter-in-law of late Nollywood veteran Olu Jacobs has paid tribute to the iconic actor following his death.
She took to Instagram on Wednesday, September 17, 2026, to remember the celebrated actor, accompanying her emotional message with a collection of throwback photographs.
The pictures included several personal moments from the period when she was still closely connected to the Jacobs family, including photographs taken around the birth of her daughter.

She reflects on the value of time
In her lengthy tribute, the actor’s estranged daughter-in-law reflected on how people often assume they will always have another opportunity to see loved ones, make phone calls or have important conversations.
She noted that people frequently postpone meaningful moments because they believe there will always be another day to do what they have planned.
“We live as though we have an endless supply of it. We make plans for next year, next month, next week, as though tomorrow has already promised us its arrival. We say, ‘I’ll go next year.’ ‘I’ll visit them soon.’ ‘I’ll call when I have more time.’ ‘We’ll do it someday.’ But uncertainty is constantly laughing in our faces. The person you planned to see next year may not be here tomorrow. The trip you keep postponing may never happen. The conversation you thought you could have later, may become a conversation you can never have.”
Her message encouraged people to make time for those who matter to them instead of waiting for what they consider the perfect opportunity.
A heartfelt farewell to “Papi J”
Despite the reported estrangement from the family, her tribute focused on remembrance, appreciation and the memories she shared with the late actor.
