Former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Abubakar Alhaji, has reportedly passed away. He died on Thursday morning, July 30, 2026, at a hospital in Abuja. He was in his 80s.
According to a report by Daily Trust, “a reliable source” who requested anonymity revealed that Alhaji had been undergoing medical treatment at the hospital before he died. No additional information regarding the illness that led to his death was disclosed.
