A video of the late Mary Habila denying false reports of her death has resurfaced online following her controversial passing.
The clip was shared on Facebook by her close friend and colleague, Anita Baaki, on Monday, July 20. According to Baaki, rumours claiming Habila had died first began circulating on June 24.
In response, Habila reportedly recorded a video on June 25 to reassure those who had become worried.
In the footage, the 26-year-old stated that she was alive and well, dismissing the claims about her death.
While the video was initially seen as a response to a false rumour, it has since drawn renewed attention after the events that followed.
Habila reportedly died on June 27, 2026, in circumstances that have continued to spark public interest.
Her body was later discovered inside a room in one of the buildings at the country residence of Minister of Works David Umahi in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The timing of the resurfaced video has raised fresh questions online, with many reflecting on the tragic turn of events. Baaki, a physiotherapist from Benue State, described Habila as both her colleague and close friend while posting the footage.
