Social media commentator identified as Mr Real Talks on TikTok has released a video questioning one of the activities that took place during the recently concluded burial ceremony of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo.
It is already public knowledge that the Nigerian movie star was finally laid to rest on June 18, 2026, in a burial ceremony that attracted a large gathering of relatives, celebrities, and well-wishers who came to pay their final respects.
The event was filled with emotional moments as family members, friends, and loved ones mourned the actor’s passing and expressed their grief.
During the ceremony, there was also a segment dedicated to sharing food and drinks with attendees. However, the decision to include a celebratory aspect at the burial of a young man like Alexx Ekubo did not sit well with some people online.
As earlier mentioned, Mr Real Talks on TikTok strongly questioned the decision to serve food and drinks during Alexx Ekubo’s burial ceremony. According to him, when a young person passes away, it is unusual to turn such an occasion into a celebration.
He argued that family members, friends, and well-wishers should have simply paid their last respects by attending the burial and then returned to their respective homes once the ceremony had concluded.
His words:
“So people really get mind dey chop rice for the burial of Alexx Ekubo. For person wey no even reach 40 years, una dey eat rice. Una no eat from house come before. People wey dey eat the rice, that one no pain me, who get mind cook rice come that party? Them no know wetin them dey do? Nah young person wey them bury oh, no be person wey don even reach 60 or 50 years oh.”
