The wife of celebrity fashion designer Yomi Casual, Grace Makun, has stirred emotions online after reflecting on the special bond between her husband and the late actor Alexx Ekubo.
Alexx Ekubo passed away several weeks ago, and his family, friends, and associates recently gathered in Arochukwu for his final burial rites. Since the ceremony, several emotional clips from the event have circulated across social media platforms.
Taking to her Instagram Story, Grace shared a heartfelt reflection on the significance of the suit her husband created for Alexx Ekubo’s burial.
She explained that it had always been customary for Yomi Casual to notify the actor whenever he completed an outfit for him.
In response, Alexx would often tell him he would come for a fitting session, usually accompanied by playful insults and jokes that had become a familiar part of their friendship over the years.
Yomi Casual’s wife shares husband’s feelings
Grace disclosed that life would never be quite the same for her husband, as the conversations and light-hearted exchanges he once shared with Alexx had now come to an end.
She noted that instead of receiving the actor’s usual teasing comments and jokes, there would now only be silence.
According to her, designing the outfit Alexx was buried in became the most emotionally challenging assignment Yomi Casual had ever faced.
In her touching tribute, she wondered how the late actor expected his friend to recover from the heartbreak left behind by his death.
Grace Makun sends message to husband
The entrepreneur also offered words of support to her husband, describing the previous month as one of the toughest seasons he had ever endured. She remarked that his late father would undoubtedly be proud of the strength he had shown.
Grace further expressed the belief that Alexx would also be proud of the honour Yomi paid him, ensuring that he looked dignified and elegant in the suit prepared for his final farewell.
She recalled witnessing the sorrow and anguish in her husband’s eyes once the outfit was completed, adding that she, too, would deeply miss the late actor.
It would be recalled that Yomi Casual was among those visibly overwhelmed with grief during the Service of Songs organised in Lagos State in memory of Alexx Ekubo, where he was seen shedding tears while paying tribute to his departed friend.
