The Yoruba film industry has been thrown into mourning following reports of the death of popular actor and comedian Adeshina Okiki Oshin, better known as Janmole.
News of his passing emerged on Monday, June 1, after an Ibadan-based radio station, Success FM, announced the development in a Facebook post.
In its statement, the station disclosed that the versatile entertainer, known for his work as an actor, filmmaker, and comedian, had reportedly passed away.
The post also expressed sympathy to his family, loved ones, the Okeho community, and members of the Nollywood industry affected by the loss.
As of the time this report was filed, the circumstances surrounding Janmole’s death had not been made public.
The news has left many fans saddened, especially because the actor survived a serious accident more than a year ago. His recovery at the time had brought relief to supporters who feared for his life.
Janmole’s reported death comes during a difficult period for the Nigerian movie industry, following the recent losses of actor Patrick Okoye and veteran Yoruba movie star Fesogboye Oyewole.
His passing has since sparked reactions from colleagues, fans, and well-wishers across social media.
