The family of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has officially announced his funeral arrangements in an emotional post shared on his Instagram page.
According to the statement signed by Mazi Alex Oji Ekubo Okwaraeke on behalf of the Ekubo-Okwaraeke family, the actor’s funeral rites will begin with a service of songs scheduled for June 10, 2026, at The Monarch Event Center in Lekki, Lagos.
The wake keep will hold on June 17 at the family compound in Arochukwu, Abia State, while the funeral service and interment are slated for June 18, 2026.
The family described the late actor as a loving, generous and devoted man whose presence brought joy and warmth to many lives.
They also appreciated friends, fans, colleagues and well-wishers for the support, prayers and encouragement received since his passing.
Family members further urged the public to continue praying for Alexx Ekubo’s wife and the entire family during the difficult period.
Sharing the burial poster, the family wrote:

Words cannot fully express our gratitude. Alexx was deeply loved, and your kindness continues to remind us that his light, compassion, faith, and impact on so many lives will never be forgotten.
Though his passing came far too soon, Alexx lived a life marked by love, warmth, generosity, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to God and the people he cherished. His presence filled rooms, lifted hearts, and created memories that will remain with us forever.
