Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries has caught the attention of many after revealing that he promised Blessing Chibuzor, the wife of his adopted autistic son Elijah “Aboy” Chibuzor, N20 million under a fresh condition.
The cleric made the statement in a Facebook post shared on May 8 while updating followers about plans to send the couple on holiday to Canada.
According to the pastor, Blessing is already on a lifetime salary arrangement sponsored by the church, and her responsibility is to care for Elijah, make him happy, and raise children with him.
While explaining the arrangement, Chibuzor stated that he would also reward her with an additional N20 million if Elijah remains alive after 10 years.
“Remember, she is on a lifetime salary and her only job is to take care of my son Elijah, make him happy and give birth to beautiful healthy children.
“And if Elijah is alive in 10 years’ time she will receive another 20 million naira cash, which is different from her monthly salary every month,” the pastor wrote in part.
The statement has since generated reactions online, with many social media users expressing concern over the condition attached to the promised N20 million reward.
Some internet users questioned why the payment was tied to Elijah’s survival after 10 years, while others debated the ethics of publicly discussing the arrangement surrounding the couple’s marriage and welfare.
