Famous gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo Blessed has sparked a barrage of comments online due to her post regarding the attack on a church in Kwara state.
The news which became a subject of concern online triggered a lot of comments from celebrities and notable figures alike.
Mercy Chinwo however took to her Instagram page with millions of followers to lend her voice and at the same time condemn the attack.
The singer called for an end to the killings, adding that attacks on churches are unacceptable and heartbreaking.
She stressed that people shouldn’t be made to fear for their lives while in church.
In her words:
“STOP THE KILLING OF INNOCENT SOULS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
The attack on worshippers in Kwara is evil, unacceptable, and heartbreaking💔.
No one should ever fear for their life in the house of God.
I stand with every family and church affected, and I pray for God’s comfort and healing.
But let it be known: the Church of Jesus Christ cannot be intimidated.
Violence will not silence our worship. Darkness will not overcome His light.
