Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia has addressed the wave of viral videos and widespread reports surrounding her personal life.
One of the videos making the rounds online showed Annie opening up about her healing process. In the clip, she spoke about how this phase of her life had prompted her to reflect deeply on love, self-worth, and what it means to be chosen for a lifetime.
At the same time, reports circulating on Twitter alleged that Annie had reconciled with her former husband, legendary singer 2Baba. An unverified video also claimed that she acknowledged being misled before eventually finding her way back to him.
Responding to the rumours, Annie used her Instagram Story to set the record straight, dismissing the reports as false.
“Old videos circulating everywhere. False news everywhere,” she lamented, stressing that the videos currently attracting attention online do not represent her present situation.
It is worth recalling that in January last year, 2Baba publicly confirmed that he and Annie had separated. Since then, the music icon has moved on with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
Later that year, Annie drew significant attention at the Headies Awards when she described her daughters as her “backbone” and formally reintroduced herself on stage as Annie Macaulay, pointedly declaring to the audience that she was single.
Her recent response adds another chapter to her ongoing journey of healing and self-discovery, as previously recorded videos continue to resurface and fuel conversations across social media.
