A striking tweet made by ARISE News anchor Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, weeks before her death, has resurfaced online and sparked emotional reactions.
Somtochukwu, 29, lost her life during a robbery incident at her abode in the Katampe area of Abuja in the wee hours of Monday, September 29.
ARISE News, friends and many Nigerians have mourned the lawyer’s demise, while the Nigeria Police are investigating the incident.
On August 14, Somtochuwku, who identifies as a feminist, tweeted a prayer from the depths of her heart that may Nigeria not happen to her or anyone she cares about.
Her tweet read:
“I pray from the depth of my heart that Nigeria never happens to me or anyone I care about.”
It seemed her fears had become a reality.
