A Nigerian lady known as @FinancialJennifer on TikTok has shared a detailed vlog of her recent trip to an African country where the Nigerian currency, the naira, holds a stronger value.
In a video posted on May 4, 2026, Jennifer highlighted key moments from her eventful visit to an East African nation.
The lifestyle creator travelled to Uganda, where the local currency, the Ugandan shilling (UGX), is currently weaker than the naira (NGN).
Based on the prevailing exchange rate, 1 naira exchanges for about 2.73 Ugandan shillings, indicating that the Nigerian currency has a higher value in comparison.
In her breakdown, Jennifer explained that she applied for an e-visa, which cost $50 (₦68,500), and it was approved within a few days.
She also disclosed that her flight to Uganda cost ₦1.2 million, noting that she booked the ticket on the same day as her trip.
The video further captured her spending on food, accommodation, and transportation while in Uganda, sparking reactions from Nigerians who shared their thoughts in the comment section.
