Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has dismissed reports claiming she snubbed Fuji star Wasiu Alabi Pasuma at a recent event.
The saga ensued after an X user shared a short clip affirming that the actress ignored the singer in public.
The edited video appeared to show Funke Akindele minding her business while Pasuma was seated nearby, prompting reactions online.
Reacting to the claim, Funke Akindele took to social media to firmly deny the allegation.
She retweeted the clip and wrote:
“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, and danced with him. Pasuma is my egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil.”
Further clarification emerged after a longer version of the video surfaced. The extended footage showed that Akindele did acknowledge Pasuma, warmly greeting and interacting with him before moving on to other guests.
The initial clip had captured only a brief moment during an interaction between Akindele and Fathia Balogun at her birthday celebration, where Pasuma was also present.
Fans later pointed out that the earlier version had been selectively edited, creating a misleading impression.
The incident comes weeks after another viral moment involving Funke Akindele at the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s movie, where she was accused of ignoring Toyin Abraham—a claim she has yet to address.
