A Nigerian TikToker, @blessdiri, has garnered significant attention online after sharing a post of how her elder sister survived a snake bite twice without visiting the hospital.
She made the clip while referring to the recent snake bite incident which the claimed life of Ifunaya Nwangene.
As explained in the video, her elder sister got bitten by a snake while coming from the bush, after fetching firewood. She dropped the firewood without delay, tore her clothes into shreds and tied the affected area.

She didn’t fail to mention what was administered to her sister to keep her alive. The victim gulped down three bottles of kerosene, which aroused her urge to vomit.
She further explained:
” We didn’t visit the hospital or take any medicine. She drank kerosene and vomited, the substance she vomited was the poison. A razor blade was later used on her, to take off the teeth from the affected area.
If the teeth stays there for long, it will infect the whole vein, and finally the heart. It will be the end once it gets to the heart.
During the second snake bite, she took a large quantity of palm oil, while a spoon was forced into her mouth to keep her teeth from joining because it was almost taking her life.”
 According to her, her father always claimed that the presence of bitter cola would scare snakes away and prevent them from entering the home.
