A touching video showing Chioma, the elder sister of late actor Alexx Ekubo, during his funeral rites has emerged online, stirring emotions among fans and prompting concern for her condition.
The actor’s remains were brought to Arochukwu in Abia State ahead of his burial, and footage from the solemn occasion soon gained widespread attention across social media platforms.
One of the videos captured Chioma walking alongside those who had gathered to receive her brother’s body as it arrived in the community. Upon noticing the vehicle transporting his remains, she became visibly overwhelmed by grief.
The emotional moment appeared to cause her to lose hold of the framed photograph she was carrying as she made her way toward the vehicle bearing her brother’s body.
Another segment of the footage showed Chioma struggling to contain her sorrow as several women surrounded her in an effort to comfort and support her.
At one point, she was seen rolling on the ground in anguish before being assisted into a sitting position and later helped to her feet while mourners continued trying to console her.
It would be recalled that after the late actor’s body reached Arochukwu, it was taken to the palace of the community’s traditional ruler. While standing beside the vehicle conveying his remains, the monarch and a chief offered prayers for the deceased.
