Social media personality Mama G has gained attention online after posting a video in which she criticised the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
The outburst follows reports that some church members in Oyo State allegedly planned to stage a protest over the recent abduction of pupils and teachers from a school in the state.
The incident has sparked widespread concern and renewed conversations about security across the country.
In the viral video, Mama G claimed that the planned demonstration was prevented from taking place.
She further alleged that the decision was linked to the church’s relationship with Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu who is a pastor within the RCCG. However, there is no independent confirmation of these claims.
Expressing her dissatisfaction, the TikToker accused some religious leaders of failing to speak out strongly on issues affecting ordinary Nigerians.
She directed harsh criticism at Pastor Adeboye and other prominent clerics, alleging that they had not done enough to address challenges facing citizens.
The video also contained strong remarks and curses directed at the respected cleric and his family, generating widespread reactions across social media platforms.
While some users agreed with her call for greater accountability from religious leaders, others condemned the tone of her comments, describing them as disrespectful and inappropriate.
As of the time of this report, neither Pastor Adeboye nor the leadership of RCCG had publicly responded to the allegations raised in the video.
