New developments have surfaced in the saga involving relationship expert Blessing CEO, as the family of Deborah Mbara (lady whom she allegedly used her cancer result) accused the influencer of making behind-the-scenes efforts to handle the situation.
It was earlier reported that Blessing CEO claimed she was battling stage 4 cancer and even put her wigs, car, house and other valuables up for sale to raise money for chemotherapy.
A medical report she shared online to support her claim later went viral but sparked backlash after Deborah’s family alleged it was falsified.
Deborah’s brother, Duke Chidi Nwafor, has now suggested that what the public sees is only part of the story.
In a Facebook post, he alleged that Blessing CEO has privately reached out to the family in an attempt to resolve the issue away from public eyes.
He further claimed that she admitted to chasing clout, but insisted that actions wouldn’t be taken lightly.
According to him, secret begging will not help, stressing that the matter must be addressed openly by Blessing CEO.
Nwafor maintained that the family is demanding a public apology, not just to his sister but also to Nigerians who may have been misled by the cancer claim.
“We want an open apology to my sister… and to the innocent Nigerians,” he said.
Amid the ongoing situation, he also disclosed that his sister is currently experiencing emotional distress, adding that she has been traumatised due to the issue.
In his words:
“Blessing CEO you cannot use my younger sister’s predicament to chase clout and dupe innocent Nigerians. You confessed to us that you are only chasing clout, but Comon you cannot use my sister.
You don’t know what she has been through and going through.
We will not let this one slide. Secret begging will not help. We want an open apology to My sister who is currently traumatized, to the innocent Nigerians you deceived, then a refund of all the money you deceitfully collected from them.
If you want to wish yourself cancer, it’s your call but don’t use my sister’s predicament. You will have the law to contend with, I assure you that. Your time is ticking.”
