“Disrespectful” – Ossai Success blasts Davido for performing with slippers at grand wedding in Warri

Ossai Success, an aide to Delta State governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has sparked a wave of reactions on social media after firing hot jabs at Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.

The backlash came after the singer attended a high-profile wedding in Warri, where Ossai took issue with his choice of footwear.

Recall that Davido was among the high-profile guests who graced the lavish wedding of Tosan Ejiro, daughter of billionaire Chief Dr Michael Edematie-Ikuku, and her husband, Samuel Adebayo Tayo.

The ceremony, held on September 13 in Warri, Delta State, also featured a star-studded lineup, including veteran actors Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, and Osita Iheme, also known as Pawpaw.

Music star Simi and comedians Bovi and Gordons were also in attendance.

A few days after the grand ceremony, Davido, who had been one of the major highlights of the event, took to social media to share photos of his arrival in Delta State aboard a private jet.

Ossai Success expressed his disappointment in Davido for performing in a pair of slippers in Warri.

According to the Delta Governor’s aide, Davido’s decision to wear a pair of slippers was out of pride and disrespectful.

In a post via his Facebook page, he wrote:

“I was disappointed to see Davido performing in a pair of slippers in Warri during Chief Ikuku’s daughter’s marriage. Wearing a pair of slippers for a performance is out of pride and is disrespectful and disappointing.”
