Highly-rated gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey has drawn the attention of the public to himself due to a post he made about Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen.
The minister who appeared to be interested in the match between Nigeria and Tunisia on Saturday, 27th December, speedily reprimanded Osimhen over his behavior after he picked a yellow card immediately after scoring the first goal of the game, giving Nigeria a crucial lead.
Escrowhold.com recalls Osimhen swiftly picked up a yellow card after scoring due to his gestures and comments towards someone who was seated on the bench.
Commenting on Osimhen’s booking, Nathaniel Bassey averred that if he wants to be at top level, he needs to cut down some drama.
He added that his behaviour after scoring against Tunisia was quite unnecessary, noting that character is everything.
The foremost singer wrote:
“If Osimehn really wants to be at the top top level he needs to cut down on the drama. Absolutely needless gesturing to the referee after scoring a goal. Just needless yellow card. Character is everything, honestly.”
Nonetheless, the gospel singer subsequently deleted the post a few moments later but it was captured by some fast fingers on the internet space.
The game eventually ended in a 3-2 victory in favour of Nigeria as Tunisia tried to force a comeback but didn’t succeed.
