Drama erupted between Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman as the Super Eagles team took on Mozambique’s squad.
Although Super Eagles cruised to the AFCON quarters finals with a solid 4-0 victory, tension erupted when Osimhen seemingly blasted Ademola Lookman.
Victor Osimhen poured out his frustration and anger at the Atalanta forward after he failed to make a crucial pass to him.
The confrontation was quite loud and fierce as it caused the intervention of other players such as Captain Wilfred Ndidi who tried to calm Osimhen down.
Despite previously assisting Victor Osimhen, the Galatasaray striker didn’t hold back his anger.
In light of this display, X users who didn’t welcome such aggression took to their various handles where they heavily criticized the striker.
Some noted that the confrontation was so fierce that Osimhen even asked that Lookman be subbed off.
A few others also described his attitude as an ungrateful one, citing the fact that Lookman had assisted him twice.
Be it as it may, Nigeria are into the quarter finals of the 2025 AFCON and so far, the Super Eagles have won all their games.
Ademola Lookman was subsequently awarded the player of the match. He assisted 2 goals and scored 1.
