Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse Ill, has spoken ahead of Nigeria vs Morocco match, sparking comments among netizens.
Speaking in an interview with BBC pidgin, the monarch noted that he watches football frequently and has been an active viewer since 1992.
He affirmed that the Super Eagles’ performances in the last 4 or 5 matches have been the best he has seen in 26 years.

He pointed out some heydays in Nigeria football which he claimed was between 1994 to 1998, adding that the Nigerian team began witnessing a decline from 2000.
Regarding the semi-final clash between Nigeria vs Morocco today, he averred that Morocco undoubtedly have the home advantage as the competition is being played on its soil.
However, he stated that the pitch is green and Nigeria represents green.
The Olu of Warri chickened out from giving an exact prediction but his statement echoed that Nigeria will emerge victorious in the match.
The semi-final clash will take place by 9pm today, Wednesday, 14th January 2026.
