Cynosure Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Hospital has cleared misconceptions regarding the death of a young woman identified as Jessica Elena, who reportedly died after undergoing a cosmetic procedure.
The medical facility released an official statement after a disturbing video circulated widely on social media, showing a woman believed to be Elena screaming during a procedure.
The clip sparked widespread reactions online and led to claims that the incident occurred at the hospital.
In response, the management of Cynosure said the video did not originate from its facility.
The clarification was shared on the hospital’s Instagram page, where it stated that the footage being circulated was wrongly associated with its clinic.
According to the hospital, although it had previously acknowledged performing reconstructive surgery for Elena, it insisted that the procedure shown in the viral video did not take place at its location.
The management added that it had no information about the hospital or medical centre where the procedure captured in the footage actually occurred.
The hospital also expressed concern that the continued circulation of the video could worsen the pain already being experienced by Elena’s grieving relatives.
In its message, the facility urged members of the public to approach the situation with empathy and avoid spreading content that might cause further distress to the family.
Cynosure further extended condolences to Elena’s loved ones over the tragic loss.
The management stated that the purpose of its announcement was to correct misinformation after the hospital was repeatedly mentioned in connection with the incident.
