A Nigerian woman, Okoli Oluebube Chukwu, has spoken after the death of fast-rising singer, Ifunanya Nwangene, popularly known as Nanyah Music.
Okoli said that Nanyah lived in her neighbourhood, and she went further to share what she noticed at the singer’s parents’ residence after her death, which went public on 31 January, 2026.
The woman further spoke on the number of snakes that reportedly bit the singer.

According to reports, the young singer reportedly passed away after being bitten by a snake at her residence.
She was said to visited the two hospitals by herself after the incident, but sadly, she did not survive.
On her Facebook page, Okoli Oluebube Chukwu noted how people seemed to get more popular after their deaths.
She also mentioned what she noticed at the late singer’s parents’ residence following her tragic passing.
She wrote:
“Why do people gain popularity after they pass away? We had a talented star in my neighborhood whose page I had never visited. She possessed an exceptionally beautiful voice that has now been silenced by death. Yesterday,people gathered at her parents’ residence to offer condolences to her family,her parents and only brother. It’s truly unfortunate, but I believe she’s in a better place. RIP Nanyah_music Is well. #RIP”
Revealing, how snakes that reportedly bit the singer she said in the comments:
“She was reportedly bitten by more than one snake. This is so painful. Throughout yesterday I felt the story can be different but it’s not reality.rest on dear.”
As of the time of reporting, no official statement has been released by her family.
Following news of her death, a clip began circulating online showing a long black snake being held by a man whose face was not visible in the footage.
Adding to the shock is the revelation that Nanyah_music was reportedly active on social media just hours before the incident occurred.
