Music producer, Samklef has weighed in on the trending issue involving Wizkid and Seun Kuti
Recall that the internet was agog lately after Wizkid fired jabs at Seun Kuti for constantly attacking his fanbase, Wizkid FC.
The issue further escalated when Wizkid described affirmed that he is bigger than Seun Kuti’s father, Fela Kuti who is widely regarded as the originator of Afrobeats.

This subsequently set a tone for varying debates as netizens began to compare Wizkid with Fela.
Samklef subsequently jumped into the issue with his controversial take, stating that Fela didn’t create Afrobeats.
He alleged that Fela stole it from the pioneer, Orlando Julius without acknowledging him.
In his words:
“This is the man that created afrobeat! Is name Orlando Julius Ekemode! Fela stole his style.
Orlando Julius, Nigeria’s Afrobeat pioneer, original founder! Fela Kuti stole his style and never acknowledged him.”
Reacting to his posts, an X user wrote:
“Fela Kuti can’t even stand King Sunny Ade’s music achievements.”
Samklef reacted saying:
“Facts! Fela stole Orlando Julius Ekemode style the original afrobeat founder he also thought fela how to play sax! O The problem with Nigeria generally we lack proper documentation. I go start to Dey teach una history.”
