Disney actress Carla Jeffery, who won the hearts of viewers with her cheerful portrayal of Bree in the popular “Zombies” franchise, has died at the age of 33.
Her talent agency, Alexanders Talent Management, announced the actress’ death on Instagram on Wednesday, September 2.
The agency wrote:
“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery.”
No cause of death was disclosed at the time of the announcement. Her representatives also appealed to the public to respect the privacy of her family as they mourn the actress.
Disney Entertainment Television also paid tribute to Jeffery, remembering her for her warmth, positive spirit and ability to build genuine connections with audiences.
Carla Jeffery’s Acting Career
Jeffery had spent more than two decades in the entertainment industry after beginning her acting career as a child.
She made her screen debut in the 2006 movie “Phat Girlz” when she was only 12 years old.
However, her career reached a major milestone in 2018 when she joined Disney’s “Zombies” franchise as Bree, an energetic cheerleader.
Her performance quickly made the character popular among viewers, and she later returned as Bree in “Zombies 2” and “Zombies 3.”
She also voiced the character in “Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.”
Jeffery Appeared in Several Popular TV Shows
Her work was not limited to the “Zombies” franchise.
Throughout her career, Jeffery appeared in several well-known television productions, including “iCarly,” “Good Luck Charlie,” “Shake It Up,” and “American Vandal.”
She also portrayed Keysha Black in HBO’s hit comedy series “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
Reports indicated that Jeffery had remained professionally active and was working on “Zombies 4” before her untimely death.
