As tributes continue to pour in for late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, actress Ufuoma McDermott has opened up about one of their final conversations, sharing a deeply personal exchange that has left many emotional online.
Alexx, who passed away in May after battling complications related to kidney cancer, was laid to rest in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State, on June 14, amid an overwhelming outpouring of grief from family, friends, colleagues, and fans across the country.
Days after his burial, Ufuoma took to her Instagram Story to share details of a conversation she had with the actor before his passing.
According to her, despite the countless hardships many Nigerians associate with living in the country, Alexx expressed a profound and unwavering love for Nigeria, telling her:
“If I come this life again, I go still be Nigerian o.”
The actress also revealed that beyond his patriotic sentiment, Alexx left her with an important piece of advice during their exchange, one she described as something she continues to hold close to her heart.
