Netizens have reacted differently to a video showing part of the burial proceedings of one of the victims of the gruesome Plateau attack.
Recall that on Sunday, 29th March 2026, gunmen attacked Angwan Rukuba community in Jos, Plateau State, killing several people and destroying properties.
A clip of a woman tearfully holding her son in her arms as he passed away over the incident subsequently went viral, eliciting widespread sympathy.
Be it as it may, the boy has now been laid to rest with videos showing moments from his funeral serving rounds.
In one of the clip, the bereaved mother who stood in the midst of two men gradually brought out a machete as she tearfully spoke to the boy’s dead body.
In another clip, she proceeded to kneel while putting the machete inside the coffin. She summoned his spirit to ruthlessly avenge his death.
Translating to English, the woman painfully said:
“My baby, I carried you for nine months, you fed from my breast. I beg you, my child, avenge your death for me.” 💔😢
