An old video of Latif Ayodele, who was popularly known as Latz, and also a close friend to Anthony Joshua, a Nigerian-British boxer has surfaced the Internet.
The video posted by Musaadnan on Instagram, narrated how Latif admitted to being confused about true religion, even though he claimed to be a Christian.
He added that he prayed, and told God to direct him to the true religion. After this, he got a message from Anthony Joshua who suggested that they try a mosque hence they’ve been to church a lot.
In his words
“You go to a church, and then they’re talking about Christianity, Jesus, God and it wasn’t sitting right with me, I was like, what’s going on, I’d say to people I’m Christian but it’s just like when I’m hearing the message, I’m like something is not right here.
So I just prayed, man, one time, just prayed and I was like God whatever the true religion is please guide me to it because I’m in a state of confusion, I had a tear in my eye and then the next day, AJ, Anthony Joshua, he messaged me saying look we’ve been going to church, because I was going to church a lot with him because he was on tag at the time so it was like we were just trying to better ourselves.
So the next day he messaged me saying you know we’ve been going to church how about we try mosque literally the day after so yeah and then the rest was history.”
Some comments criticized Latif for leaving Christianity behind, while some commended the step he took when he was alive.
