A woman has shared her emotional reaction after watching Behind The Scenes, a film by Funke Akindele, revealing how deeply it affected her.
She explained that the movie left her in tears and went further to caution certain people, especially those who are highly emotional, to think twice before watching it due to its intense themes and tear-jerking storyline.
The film, which premiered on December 12, 2025, has gained significant attention in Nollywood, with many praising its relatable storyline and strong performances.
It follows the story of Aderonke, played by Scarlet Gomez, a thriving real estate entrepreneur whose life is disrupted by the actions of self-centered family members.
Behind The Scenes has also recorded major success, reportedly earning over N2 billion at the box office and debuting at the top spot on Netflix.
The woman, identified on Facebook as Adedara Bose Folashade, questioned Funke Akindele’s creativity while reflecting on the film’s message.
She noted that the storyline carries deep life lessons and admitted that the emotional impact lingered long after she finished watching.
She said in her Facebook post:
“Haaaa Funke Akindele, are you sure you are just an ordinary human being? Because how on earth did you come up with such a powerful storyline?
“Haaaa! I cried and cried and cried. The story is filled with deep lessons. It reminds us how people easily forget the good you’ve done once you’re no longer there.
“And sometimes, the very person you trust the most could end up destroying everything you’ve built and betray you. If you’re very emotional, please don’t watch it o. I’ve had a headache since yesterday after watching it, and it still hasn’t gone away. Behind The Scene is honestly 200/100 for me.”
