Ezekiel Dachomo, a reverend based in Plateau State, has recounted his past involvement in crime, including a bank robbery in 1980.
In a video that has gained traction on social media, the cleric shared details of his transformation, attributing his change in life to a spiritual encounter he claims to have had.
Known for his outspoken views on issues affecting Christians in Nigeria, his testimony has drawn both attention and debate.
Describing the experience, he said:
“Jesus came personally into my room while I was sleeping. I didn’t know that I was operating with 14 demons until Jesus encountered me.”
He continued:
“That night there was war. He came with seven angels. I was just an observer seeing the drama that is being done on my life. Jesus ordered the seven angels to strike the enemy. In fact, they were killed instantly.”
According to him, the encounter forced him into a moment of surrender, adding:
“When they were coming, putting other corpse, then I have to stand up and begin to beg. I was asking for forgiveness. ‘Forgive me, I will never do that again.’”
Speaking on his past, Dachomo admitted:
“In 1980, it was our gang that robbed a bank in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria… It was my best friend that led the operation.”
He concluded by describing the aftermath of the experience, saying:
“That day that I encountered Jesus… I tried my best to smoke cigarette, I couldn’t. The power of smoking was broken in my life.”
The video has since generated mixed reactions, with many reacting to his testimony and the details of his past.
