A Facebook user has shared a touching observation from the burial Mass of Ifunanya Nwangene, who reportedly died after a snakebite.
The post highlighted the emotional moment when her only sibling, Kingsley, sat quietly in the church, staring at her casket with his hand resting on his jaw, visibly overwhelmed by grief.
According to the user, Kingsley had earlier revealed that at the moment Ifunanya was bitten by the snake, she reached out to him via WhatsApp, telling him not to panic and informing him of what had happened.
The burial Mass was held in a Catholic church, where priests presided over the solemn ceremony.
The altar was decorated with purple and white drapes while the wooden casket rested in front, with a framed photograph of the deceased placed beneath it.
Reflecting on the experience, the Facebook user noted that attending burial Mass serves as a reminder of life’s fragility and the inevitability of death.
Sharing the photo showing Ifunanya’s brother, the netizen wrote:
“Ifunanya’s only sibling ,kingsley ,stares at his sister’s the casket with his hand on his jaw.
Recall that Kingsley said the moment Ifunanya got bitten by the snake ,she chatted him on whatapp saying “don’t panic , i have been bitten by a snake”.

It is good to attend burial Mass once in a while.
Whether you knew the deceased in their lifetime or not.
It is a reminder of how fickle life is and how inevitable death is.
Like the Homilist at Ifunanya Nwangene ‘s burial mass said ,”as long as you are alive , you are eligible to die”.”
